Program overview:

SSJE coursework emphasizes a hands-on, project-based curriculum that is interconnected across our courses. We take student learning beyond the boundaries of the classroom, beginning with extensive 9 th and 10 th grade field trips and community service. Service learning for juniors and seniors gives them the opportunity to develop independence, formulating their own interests into projects in the larger community and working with organizations connected to social justice and environmental issues. Seniors will pursue an in-depth internship and present a thesis project to the SSJE community as part of their Senior Exhibitions.

Our students have the option to take electives such as languages, art and PE outside the small school. AP options are available to seniors in Economics, Government, Calculus, Statistics, Environmental Science, and Spanish.
